New Search Engine Technology To Rival Google

Today I was alerted to a new search engine www.leapfish.com and they have come up with a new and brilliant concept for sponsored links, they have also incorporated some pretty handy web 2.0 applications into their engine.
You really need to just go and have a play around in there, keep an eye out for the little arrows and other things that they could have made a little easier to find.
There is one thing that really stands out, remember the dot.com boom where companies were paying a fortune for domain names. Well that may start all over again except this time it’s going to be keywords.
Unlike Google Adwords you can’t just pick a keyword and pay the bid price to get seen in the sponsored links, at www.leapfish.com you actually buy your keyword then pay a 5% fee on that keyword price per year. You can then lease, sell or use that keyword yourself.
They only display 3 sponsored links “at the moment” right at the top of the page.
I have managed to get a couple of quotes on keywords Make Money From Home get’s about 40,000 searches per month on Google.
Make Money From Home: 1st position $11,000 USD + 5% annually $550 USD
: 2nd position $5,000 USD + 5% annually $250 USD
: 3rd position “GONE”
Personal Development: 1st position $6,300 USD + 5% annually $315 USD

Something else I found really handy was the shopping tab, if you are looking for Christmas items online then type the item of interest into the search box then click the shopping tab.
You can update your facebook, twitter, reddit and heaps more directly from the site. They show photos and videos on the same page and all in all it’s a pretty cool site. Im going to start using it along side google, yahoo & bing and see how it compares.
But I can see this engine becoming exponentially popular with internet users.
