Hey there friends; I just wanted to let you now about my recent experiences with the guys at PCHelpForum.com “These Guys Are Cool!”

As you may or may not be aware, we have been having a few computer and technical issues lately and the most recent has been some kind of weird problem where some Windows functions would just stop working for unknown reasons. “Don’t you just love it when this stuff happens!” YAY?

One of the problems was the inability to download any files with windows graphics display looking flat and dead, I know that’s not a very good explanation of things so let me try a bit harder.

Windows have used something known as a gradient in their display, you know…. The tabs are light blue shading to a darker blue or vice versa. “Not necessarily blue either, could be grey shading to white giving the silver look” I think you get it?

Anyway, here I am, can’t download can’t save, network saying no internet connection and yet I’m still using gmail and the web “That was weird!” and a host of other niggling little problems like not being able to use bookmarking buttons, losing administrator rights and other stuff that was just a pain in the …! You know all that stuff that just does your head in and makes you feel like ripping your hair out OR WORSE.

I was thinking re-format was coming up and for me that was going to mean at least 2 days down the tubes because I’m so computer savvy… “NOT!” I had no idea how to fix this problem, virus scans didn’t help and I didn’t want to call my tech guys again, so I thought I would go and investigate some computer help forums and see if anyone could shed some light on this for me.

Now before you start thinking that this is just some hyped up affiliate or kick back review, I want to make it clear that I have no vested interest in writing this post except to praise the guys at PC Help Forum for the expert time and effort they put in to helping me and countless others fix nagging and complex computer issues. The guys there are awesome and the help they gave me went far beyond anything I expected!

Seriously! Go and bookmark their site PCHelpForum.com because this is a team that you want on your side when things go pair shaped.

I registered then posted my problem “probably not the best explanation you’ve ever heard” and instantly there was a response that gave me the tools I needed to take back my Administrator privileges which seemed to fix the problem.

However; it wasn’t all over just yet, you see the problem was cured temporarily but all of a sudden came back with some bonuses attached. Don’t you just love those little bonuses?

About 6 hrs had passed by this time and I headed back to their Computer Help Forum and posted again, instantly I had a reply that was obviously coming from a highly skilled computer dude,  it was a full page of instructions laid out in a format that even I could understand and it took me step by step through a fairly long process of downloading, running then locating logs and sending them back with a total of 2 downloads and scans then sending 3 of 4 scan results back to their tech team for analyzing.

Bottom Line; This is the most professional computer help forum I have ever come across and the guys there are switched on, they talk in a language that even a dummy like me can understand and the help you receive “In my opinion” goes far beyond the normal …

Negative Keywords

Remember… the terms people type into search are a direct indication of their intent. Imagine your product is about “dog training” and while you go about your keyword research you find other dog related products like “rescue dog training” & “guard dog training” it’s pretty obvious that rescue and guard are going to be negative keywords and it’s worthless for you to try and draw traffic from these keywords.

It’s especially worthless and can be monumentally expensive to overlook/target negative keywords if you are using PPC “Pay Per Click” to advertise your opportunity. But this article is not about PPC so we will leave it at that.

Search Volumes

When using the Google Keyword Tool take notice of the amount of times a keyword is being searched but be aware that there can be a lot of competition for these keywords and targeting the high volume short tail keywords is probably not in your best interest right now.

Cross check between the keyword tools and the sites that come up on the first page of Google search when you do a search for that keyword phrase.

2. Seek out and make a list of your competition.

3.How do they attempt to solve your customer’s problems?

4. Can you do a better job than them?

5. Who are the leading competitors & how long have they been in business?

6. Do they use a blog and what do they talk about often?
I can’t emphasize the importance of these steps enough when it comes to building your keyword list, don’t try to rush through, take your time and take notes. “pencil-pad, notepad, word” Just take notes.
Visit as many discussion forums as possible and write down the phrases, words and jargon your prospective customers are using. Understanding the industry related jargon is imperative to targeting your market in more ways than one. “More on that later…but here’s a hint; SEO”
When you have been through all these steps you have your primary keyword list.
(Q: Why don’t we just use a keyword tool to generate our primary keyword list?
(A: Keyword tools are excellent and they are integral part of keyword research but they will only do so much and they won’t tell you what words are being used most often by your target market. Think about it for a minute… You actually have to give a keyword tool a list of keywords to work with and then use it to focus in on the keywords that have the most value.

Once you have been through all the steps above you will have a very solid and commanding  primary keyword list. Now is the time to drag out the keyword suggestion tools.

Another mistake that occurs often is to assume there is some kind of magic formula to reduce the number of conversions needed to obtain valid data. There is None!
